Organically grown and sustainably foraged flowers, that have been traditionally slow-pressed.
Texas Eco Farms is the name of our Farm. The flowers and foliage that go into my original artwork are harvested and foraged at the farm. All the flowers that are sent to us are pressed here as well, hence the name “Pressed from the Farm.”
My specialty is abstract designs that fit harmoniously together. Bouquets that are colorful, filled with a variety of interesting flowers and foliage benefit best from this design. Bouquets with only one type of flower and foliage will not be the best fit for this type of work but you can always reach out to me to see what can be done.
Traditional Bouquet style reconstruction is available if you’d like your flowers displayed in a more traditional way.
The flowers will fade and change color overtime as I don’t use preservatives, sealants or artificial drying methods to maintain their appearance which is one of the most interesting aspects of this art. This is especially true for white flowers, which tend to brown over time. If the white look is important to you, please consider an artist that specializes in color correction.
To preserve your piece for as long as possible they need to be kept out of direct sunlight and away from humid environments. This means areas were there is drastic temperature changes like kitchens, bathrooms, or a door next to a garage.
At this time, I’m not accepting all white bouquets and I do not offer floating frame options (flowers glued to glass).
At this time, we’re unable to accommodate custom frame sizes or colors.
Abstract style pieces: I will lay out a rough draft of a selection of your flowers on different color papers so you pick the background you like most. The design process comes very natural to me so I do not do mockups of abstract style pieces as one change can disrupt the flow of the whole piece.
Bouquet reconstruction: I will lay out a rough draft of a selection of your flowers in different color paper so you pick the background you like most. In addition, I do one mockup of bouquet style pieces with the understanding that things won’t look exactly like the mockup once they’ve been glued down.
Customization: We can include boutonnières, photos, written vows, or any sentimental item at no additional charge.
There’s 4 different types of frames to choose from: natural oak wood, brown oak wood, black oak wood and white oak wood. All the frames use real wood and real glass. Not all colors are available for certain sizes.
We offer 2 different types of paper: Black and white. This fine professional printmaking paper is mould-made in France. It is acid-free, buffered and made of 100% cotton.
Original artwork can be shipped within 2-3 days of placing your order.
Wedding Bouquet Preservation and Commissions can take up to 5 months. More details on each item’s “Description” box.
In the event that your bouquet does not make it during shipping or you’d like to recreate a bouquet, I can try to get the flowers from a local florist but you’ll need to cover the costs.
